The Caroline

My husband and I stopped for a later dinner on our way home. I had the Ribeye with Parmesan Asparagus. It was amazing! Cooked perfectly for me. The soft warm pumpernickel bread they serve is an absolute favorite of ours as well. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We have been here before and continue to go back because it’s always a great experience. The customer service is always awesome and we have never left disappointed. When stopping through Troy you should definitely try The Caroline for a nice relaxing meal. Of course we will return. (I also posted the specialty drink/beer menu below.)

We stopped in while traveling and enjoyed The Caroline! Wonderful server (Justine). Biggest most delicious pork chop ever! Rye bread with seasoned butter is...wow!

Moved to the area a year ago and have been looking for a delicious burger, I have finally ended my search! The sweet potato fries were amazing! My husbands steal and shrimp was phenomenal. Hands down some of the best food in town. We can’t wait to go back and try new stuff. The ladies in the front could have looked a little more alive and cheerful or welcoming as we walked in. I did ask if there was a dress code (because where I come from, some upscale vibed places do require a dinner dress code) they didn’t seem to confidently give me a yes or no. So we kinda had to scope it out and see what the vibe was. No dress code is required to my knowledge (was literally in jeans and a band tee) but most folks were dressed up a little. Service was quick and our waitress was super friendly. Over all we had a great experience. Apparently it’s best to make reservations.

Came here for my girlfriend’s birthday and our server Erin was the most attentive and charismatic server I’ve had in a very long time. We didn’t even mention my girlfriend’s birthday outright, but Erin happened to overhear us and brought out cake and whipped cream without question. Her smile definitely brightened our day. Incredible service.

This place has atmosphere and charm. It’s a nice day outside and they let you legally take a drink to go. This place is within what’s called a DORA zone in Troy where you can take a walk and enjoy the nice warm day walking around the square.

First time here, but won't be the last. I'm not sure which was better, the food or the service. The food was incredible and our server was amazing. I definitely recommend you take a trip to Troy!

Her son got her a gift certificate for Caroline's for her birthday. What a thoughtful lad. Although the restaurant was a few miles from home, it was definitely worth the drive. Our server, Kaitlyn, was fantastic. Her wine and appetizer suggestions were spot on. The French onion soup was the best we've had since visiting Paris. Since it was a birthday celebration the Caroline's steak was what the birthday girl wanted while I opted for the Walleye on a bed of risotto. It was delicious! The best I've had since I caught some on Lake Erie so many years ago. We were never rushed, but Kaitlyn watched over us and even brought out a slice of chocolate cake with birthday candles. It was a glorious evening.

Justine was great, helping us celebrate a birthday. She was very attentive and efficient. Food was very good. Atmosphere was nice, but the music was a bit overwhelming at times (we loved the selection of 80s music though, just not at dinner). Thanks for a great evening!
